My Homework

  • Week of January 17

    LANGUAGE ARTS: This week our theme is "what living things need (focus = plants)".  We will learn the sound of Hh. We will read and discuss MY GARDEN and the poems TOMMY, MAYTIME MAGIC, THE SEED and GARDEN in our big book. Our read aloud story is GROWING PLANTS.  We will read HOP CAN HOP in our readers and the little book WE SEE IT! for homework. We will work with rhyming words, syllables, sentences, nouns, verbs and sequencing. We will review all of our sight words. Our category words are SIZE words and we will learn about ADJECTIVES. Our sight word this week is MY.

    MATH: We began our chapter on taking apart numbers on Friday.  We will continue this chapter this week.

    RELIGION: We will talk about the fact that Jesus grew up in Nazareth. 

    SCIENCE: We will complete our science chapters entitled : What do Animals need? and What do plants need? if we have extra time this week, we will complete our LET'S FIND OUT magazine entitled: Where is Frozen Water?

    SOCIAL STUDIES: We will complete our Social Studies magazine entitled: LOCATION which ties into our category words (position words) from last week.


    Monday NO SCHOOL 

    Tuesday Math = math lesson HW page.  LA = Sight word MY worksheet. Bring in a picture of something that begins with the letter Hh. Practice sight words.

    Wednesday Math = math lesson HW page.  LA = Hh worksheet. Practice sight words

    Thursday Math = math lesson HW page. LA = Read:  WE SEE IT! 2x. Practice sight words. Please have your child read one of the supplemental books or do an activity on Wonders or IXL.  All supplemental materials are on Google classroom on the classwork page.  

    Friday No homework! Have a nice weekend!
