    SMART  goals project with personal soundtracks, due in written form on Friday, January 10th.  All students should have a short and long term goal for school and personal growth.  You should include in your notes your plans for how you will achieve this goal and why you selected the soundtrack you did to highlight and motivate that goal.

    Assigned Unit 4 of Vocabulary Workshop, all exercises are due on Monday, January 13 on penmanship or printed paper.  No copies to be emailed to Ms. Bennett.
    Read and disucssed the Robert Frost poem, "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening." Assigned comprehension and Critical Thinking questions for HW, due tomorrow on penmanship paper.

    Corrected and collected comprehension and critical Thinking questions for "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening."  Began to read and take notes on the autobiographical essay, The Chase from An American Childhood.  No assignment given.

    Completed reading the Chase.  Assigned comprehension questions.  Tomorrow they are due as well as the goals for 2020.  Monday, the Vocabulary workshop is due.

    Corrected the comprehension and critical thinking questions for The Chase.  Began to write a personal narrative about an event in our lives.  Watched a video about Shakespeare and googled information about his life an dearly days.

    Corrected the literary terms worksheet.  All students need a copy of the novel by Tuesday.  If you do not have then we will begin without you!  Also, assigned nouns practice worksheet for the midterm.

    Read the "I Have a Dream" speech by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.   and discussed.  Assigned questions on figurative language regarding the speech and a poem assignment which is due on Friday.  All work is to be done in class.  Language Arts Midterm is tomorrow.

    Read and discussed the prologue for Romeo and Juliet.  Assigned Act I, Scene i, for Friday.

    Completed the comprehension questions for scene 5 of Act 1.  Assigned vocabulary exercise and google classroom writing assignment for Act 2.  HW:  Read prologue of Act 2 for tomorrow's class.  Worked on the Conversation Poetry assignment, will continue tomorrow.

    Completed reading Scope magazine play about Icarus.  Read and completed Act 2 Scene 1.  Assigned Scene 2 for HW.  Corrected Vocabulary Workshop Unit 4, test will be next Thursday.

    Read and discussed Act 2, Scene 2.  Assigned the questions for HW and began the inclass project of the Comic Strip for Act 2, Scene 2.

    Played Sparkle to prepare for the vocabulary test on Unit 4.

    Vocabulary Test on Unit 4.  Time given to complete the comic strips for the Balcony Scene.  Assignment:  Read Scene iii of Act II.

    Returned Vocabulary Tests.  Collected the comic strips for the Balcony Scenes.  Read and discussed Scene iii of Act II, completed comprehension questions as a group.  Assigned the activity for Acts II Scenes ii and iii.  Will complete on Monday in class and perform on Tuesday for a grade.
