The students in fourth grade Math are beginning to divide. They are still drilling the multiplication tables because they need to know them forever.

The students in fifth grade Math are learning how to get equivalent and mixed fractions. 

In Reading, students are learning how to gather clues in order to make inferences about characters and events in a story. They are learning about the author's use of symbolism in a story and how to identify the lesson and theme of a story. They are also learning how to identify common and proper nouns in Grammar.

The fourth graders are also learning how to write paragraphs containing a main idea and details.
