Good Morning, Everyone,
I hope that each of you and your families are doing well! As you know students in Grades 5 through 8 are working remotely until Thursday, January 28th when they return to in school classes. A very special thank you to our hardworking teachers who have been able to seamless transition to remote instruction. Their hard work and resiliency are a testimony to the success of our students and school. The week beginning January 31st we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week. During this week, I will e-blast a schedule of events for your information. We usually hold an Eighth-Grade volleyball game at the end of CSW, but due to the pandemic, we cannot host that many people in our gym. We believe that this volleyball game is important to our students, so we have every intention of rescheduling it in the Spring and will include all of our students as spectators, and also invite parents to attend.
The following are some updates and information for you:
1.) Please be sure that your child arrives at school on time. Our Before Care program for working parents is held in the gym from 7-7:30am, and the bell to begin the school day rings at 7:45am. By 7:45am, students should already be in their classrooms seated and waiting to begin the day with prayer, not just entering the building. Students arriving after 7:45am are required to report to the school office for a late pass and will be marked late for the school day.
2.) Just a reminder for you to go into Genesis by 7:30 am each morning and complete the health check for your child/children. We still have some families that are non-compliant. It is intrusive to instruction to have to go to a child’s class or call them down to have their temperature taken. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Also, it is important to note how much we appreciate the vigilance of parents who comply daily. Thank you!
3.) Our PTA is planning a fundraiser event for February. The fundraiser is Tiny Saints, and it will begin on February 1st. You will be receiving more information shortly.
4.) If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me at creimer@stroseoflima.com. Your input is welcomed.
Wishing everyone a good week!
Ms. Reimer
